Turning 50 only happens once—so we’re saying "Phuket" to the ordinary and trading it for a week of private coastal luxury in Thailand. We are all flying across the Pacific together on Cathay Pacific out of Los Angeles (LAX) on Friday night, December 11, 2026! Because we cross the International Date Line heading west, we skip Saturday entirely and touch down in Hong Kong and Phuket on Sunday, December 13.

Timing Your Positioning Flight for Our 10:45 PM Departure
Because your domestic positioning flight to LAX is booked separately from our Cathay Pacific ticket, airlines will not automatically transfer your bags—you must collect your luggage at domestic baggage claim and re-check it at the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT).
•Option A — Arrive Early on Thu, Dec 10 or Fri Morning (Recommended!): Fly in early like Courtney & Samuel, rest up at the Residence Inn LAX, and head to the international terminal relaxed.
•Option B — Arrive Same-Day on Friday, Dec 11 (Land by 5:30 PM!): If flying into LAX on Friday, Dec 11, plan to land at LAX no later than 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM (at least 4.5 to 5 hours before our 10:45 PM CX881 flight) so you have plenty of buffer for baggage claim and TBIT check-in.
•Return Flight Buffer on Saturday, Dec 19 (After 8:00 PM): Our return flight CX882 lands back at LAX on Saturday, Dec 19 at 4:20 PM. Please book your domestic flight home departing after 8:00 PM on Dec 19 (or on Sunday, Dec 20) to allow 3.5 to 4 hours to clear U.S. Customs and re-check bags.

1. What are the passport and visa requirements for entering Thailand?▼
U.S. passport holders do not need a visa for tourist stays up to 60 days. However, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date (through at least June 2027) and have at least 2 blank pages.
2. How does the VIP Airport Fast-Track work?▼
Once you land at Phuket International Airport (HKT), a VIP airport representative will meet us right at the arrival gate holding a welcome sign. They will fast-track us through dedicated immigration priority lanes and assist with luggage collection directly out to our private driver.
3. Do I have to attend every scheduled excursion?▼
Absolutely not! This is your vacation too. While all group activities and private charters are pre-arranged, every event is completely optional. If you prefer to lounge by the villa infinity pool with a good book and a cocktail instead of jet skiing, you are welcome to relax. Just mark your headcount preferences on the sign-up form below.
4. How does in-villa tipping and expenses work?▼
Courtney has covered the villa accommodations, private chef service, master group charters, and priority van transportation! Any personal shopping at markets/malls, individual spa treatments beyond the villa, and personal alcoholic beverages outside the villa bar will be on your own tab.
5. Is tap water safe to drink in Thailand?▼
No, tap water should not be consumed. The Glasshouse provides unlimited filtered, bottled, and purified water throughout the villa, bedrooms, and ice machines. Bottled water is also stocked on all our vans and tours.
